Waretech vs an ERP's WMS module
ERPs are great at finance and purchasing. Warehouse floors and marketplace orders have different demands. Here's how to decide.
Side by side
How they differ
| Question | ERP warehouse module | Waretech Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Primary purpose | Finance, purchasing, inventory valuation | Warehouse floor and order flow |
| Shopify / Amazon / Flipkart | Usually via third-party connectors or custom work | Shopify and Amazon built in, Flipkart in early access, plus a Client API |
| Putaway and picking logic | Often basic, or an add-on module | Volumetric putaway, FEFO/FIFO, pack hierarchy, scan inspection |
| Dynamic SKU attributes | Fixed fields, changes need customisation | Define attributes per product group, carried by every lot |
| Multiple client brands (3PL) | Possible, often complex | Multi-client and multi-warehouse by design |
| Time to go live | Typically a long implementation project | Mapped with you and run on real orders in steps |
| Your accounting system | Native | Keep it. Use the Client API and webhooks to connect (native Tally/SAP connectors are on the roadmap) |

Choose Waretech when…
- Your marketplaces and storefronts drive most orders
- You need expiry, batch or other attribute-driven picking
- You want to go live without replacing your ERP
- You operate several warehouses or serve several clients
