Waretech vs spreadsheets
Spreadsheets are fine until the day they aren't. Here is where they hold up, where they break, and what changes when a WMS takes over.
Side by side
How they differ
| Question | Spreadsheets | Waretech Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Where is this item? | A bin column someone has to keep updated by hand | Every lot has a bin, and every move is logged |
| Which batch ships first? | Whoever remembers to check expiry | FEFO picklists with an outbound expiry tolerance |
| Is it the right item? | Visual check by the packer | Every unit scanned against the picklist before the AWB prints |
| Stock on Shopify and Amazon | Uploaded in batches, so it drifts between uploads | Pushed automatically using per-channel buffer and zero-below rules |
| Which warehouse takes the order? | A coordinator decides | Ranked by pincode and scored on free stock |
| Who changed this number? | Version history, if you're lucky | An audit trail on every stock movement |
| Several people at once | Conflicts and overwritten cells | Role-based access and live data |
| Cost to start | Free | Quoted to your volume (see pricing) |

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can we import our spreadsheet into Waretech?
Yes. Products, opening stock, purchase orders and orders can be bulk-imported from Excel, so you don't re-key your data.
How long does it take to move off spreadsheets?
It depends on SKUs, warehouses and channels. Most of the work is mapping your layout and SKUs, which we do with you. We usually run a parallel day before switching over.
See it run on your own SKUs.
