What is WMS (Warehouse Management System)?

Software that tracks where every unit is and runs warehouse work from receiving to dispatch.

A WMS manages bins, lots and stock movements, and drives receiving, putaway, picking, packing and dispatch.

It's different from an ERP, which handles finance and purchasing, and from a storefront, which only knows sellable quantity.
